Reiki utilizes gentle touch to facilitate healing
Reiki is a Japanese word representing Universal Life Energy, the energy that is all around us. Reiki utilizes gentle touch or laying on of hands to facilitate the healing of mind, body and spirit. It is tremendously relaxing and comforting, accelerating the body's natural ability to heal physical ailments by opening the mind and spirit to the causes of disease, disharmony and pain. Reiki adjusts to the needs of the individual and works well as an adjunct to traditional medicine and other alternative therapies.
To offer comfort with our touch is instinctive to humans, and it is through this touch that a Reiki practitioner can more clearly channel the Universal Energy for healing to take place.

A typical session starts with a consultation where you can discuss any particular problems or areas of concern. You then lay down fully clothed on a massage table or similar support. With soft music playing in the background, I slowly move around the body gently placing my hands and letting them rest in position for several minutes on different areas. After treating the whole body the session ends with a period of stillness and silence. We then finish with a closing consultation where we discuss anything that may have arisen for you during the session, and where I share anything that I may have learned from your body.
A full session covering the whole body takes an hour and costs $60 in my home.
Sessions can be done anywhere and I will happily come to you adjusting the fee to include travel time.
Often, a client will feel only the deep sense of peace and relaxation
What you feel and experience will vary each time you have Reiki and from practitioner to practitioner. Some people express feeling incredible warmth flowing into their body at the point of contact. Some people's muscles spasm as energy is released and shifting. And quite often clients feel nothing at all other than a deep sense of peace and relaxation. The experiences are as varied as are people. But even if you feel nothing, it doesn't mean it hasn't worked. It is not a quick cure. It is therapeutic and cumulative.
Recently, Reiki was recommended on the Dr. Oz show on his prescription for good health segment. So please give yourself the gift of a session.
