Unmasking the Divine Dancer
A 3 day weekend, men's version of this workshop, Unmasking the Divine Masculine Dancer, is happening in March 2011. Click here for more info.
In what ways do we communicate with each other and the Divine other than through words? What happens when we are given the opportunity to express ourselves without words? What happens when we are allowed to play with each other and Spirit?
Come on a spiritual adventure in this workshop led by Revs. Darren Polito and Helen Hazlett, offering a variety of playful ways to converse with the Divine, with our higher selves and with each other. Using the Fantastical Creatures Tarot, a shared story will be created by everyone which will then be explored with journaling, mask decorating and dancing. The form of the journaling is open to you, from writing, to drawing to silent contemplation. There will be 12 different varieties of masks to choose from to paint and decorate as the role you see yourself playing in the shared story. And dancing while wearing the masks will be to a special music mix created in the moment by Rev DJ Darren about the story that has been revealed. These playful tools will help us easily cross the threshold of the collective unconscious allowing us to listen more deeply and to share the wisdom within us all.
A full day of frolicking and playful exploration await you as we unmask the Divine Dancer within and step out of our ordinary reality. No experience necessary, just a willingness to play and be open. Everything is provided and the mask you decorate is yours to keep as is the wisdom we bring forth.
My co-facilitator for this workshops is Rev. Helen Hazlett who lives in Chicago. Helen is a teacher, writer, priestess, interfaith minister, and life-long learner. She has over 30 years experience as a group facilitator. Helen is a delightful, affirmative, funny and honest woman, skilled at creating safe space in her relationships and in groups.
